Online store
Catalog with recipes, photos and options, ready to take the order.
Development of the client, order and online store system for an artisan bakery in Puerto Vallarta, with a loyalty club built around the birthday. In a bakery, the customer's date isn't a marketing field: it's the reason they buy. The system turns that date into a recurring reason to come back.
Pavlova was already selling: made-to-order cakes, deliveries across Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit, and a catalog of recipes baked the day they are needed. All of it happened in messages. Quoting the same cake twenty times a day, confirming flavors and dates over chat, writing the order in a notebook and losing track of the customer the moment they picked up their box. And with it went the most valuable thing in the business: knowing who had bought, what they liked and —above all— when their birthday is.
An online store with the real catalog, a system that organizes orders and clients, and a club that uses the birthday as its repeat-purchase engine.
Catalog with recipes, photos and options, ready to take the order.
Every order with its delivery date, flavor and details, in one place.
Who bought, what they bought and when their birthday is: the repeat-purchase base.
Subscribers, points and birthday perks that bring the customer back.
Because in a bakery it is the purchase moment by definition. A generic points program rewards people who were coming anyway; storing the birthday lets you show up exactly when the person is actually going to buy a cake, with a reason that feels like care rather than advertising.
No, it organizes them. The customer chooses and builds the order on the site, where catalog, options and dates are already clear, and the close can still happen on WhatsApp. The personal touch stays; the work of quoting the same thing twenty times goes away.
Yes. Any business selling made-to-order product with a date —pastry, catering, florists, prepared food— has the same problem of catalog, daily capacity and customers who never get recorded. The structure adapts.
Less than it seems: the real catalog, a clear decision on what perks you offer, and somewhere to store the subscriber with their date. The hard part is not the technology, it is defining a perk that is genuinely worth it for the customer.
